On 17th February 2025, the Kulm Hotel was transformed into “The Grand Shuttlecock Hotel” for a magnificent Wes Anderson themed Shuttlecock Dinner hosted by our 83rd Shuttlecock President Silvano Vitalini.
Cresta Members and Friends revelled in the ballroom of the hotel, bedecked as Bell Boys, Chamber Maids, Prisoners, Pyjama-clad Hotel Guests and Cake Bakers.

On the night, the incoming Shuttlecock President was revealed to be none other than Alasdair “Loon” Hilleary. Loon created a fantastic poster for this year’s party and there are still some prints available to purchase. Please contact loon@looncartoons.co.uk for more information.
Guests were treated to some fantastic skits and performances, including a poem written especially for the occasion by Charlie Child. After much demand to immortalise his poem, Charlie has agreed to make 50 framed and signed prints. He writes:
“Dear friends,
I’ve received several requests for a printed edition of the Shuttlecock poem for Members to hang at home. I want to thank you all for your support. It was so much fun to write and perform, and it means a great deal to me that it brought joy to so many Members.
I’m producing a beautiful, limited edition print of the poem. It is being printed at the very highest quality, on cream paper, with the words in our Club's burgundy colour. A preview is below. This edition is limited to 50 prints. I’ll sign and number each one.
